The HogaRES Project receives AmCham Guatemala's Business Sustainability Recognition 2024 in the social category, highlighting its impact on communities.

The Guatemalan-American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham Guatemala) celebrated the XIX edition of the Business Sustainability Recognition, awarding initiatives that promote sustainable development and social welfare.

This year, the HogaRES Project was the sole winner in the social category, a distinction that underscores its positive impact on Guatemalan communities.

The call for entries, launched in June, received 31 proposals from 20 member companies, demonstrating AmCham and its members’ commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

The projects submitted ranged from environmental sustainability to community development, but it was HogaRES that captured the jury’s attention due to its comprehensive and collaborative approach.

An example of social responsibility

HogaRES not only sets itself up as an example of social responsibility, but also of inter-institutional cooperation. Its success is possible thanks to the support of important partners such as Coca Cola, Terra Firme, Génesis Empresarial, La Unión, Corporación Multi Inversiones (CMI), Banco Industrial, Instituto del Cemento y del Concreto de Guatemala, Habitat for Humanity, TECHO, Global Communities Mano a Mano, CBC, and Breakthrough Action.

These strategic partners have enabled HogaRES to strengthen its intervention in vulnerable communities, addressing essential housing, infrastructure, and social development needs.

Thanks to these partnerships, the project has positively impacted the quality of life of numerous families, giving them opportunities for a better future.

An incentive to continue growing

This award represents more than an achievement for HogaRES, it is a testament to the power of collaboration and commitment to sustainable development.

The project was awarded in the social category, which evaluates projects that transform communities, and generate lasting impact.

AmCham Guatemala continues to promote these initiatives, highlighting how the private sector can be an engine of positive change.

HogaRES, with its collaborative management model, serves as an inspiration for future proposals.
