Carlos F. Novella Foundation participates in the Food Fair in favor of San Juan de Dios Hospital

The Carlos F. Novella Foundation participated in the 2024 Food Fair with a solidarity gastronomic proposal, raising funds for the San Juan de Dios Hospital.

On September 12, the Carlos F. Novella Foundation participated in the 2024 Food Fair, organized by the Club Rotario del Este (East Rotary Club) , at Tikal Futura Expocenter.

This event, attended by many, brought together various institutions committed to social welfare.

The Foundation, in collaboration with the Cursos Libres de San Juan Sacatepéquez students presented a gastronomic proposal that stood out for its authenticity.

Attendees were able to taste four traditional Guatemalan dishes: Piloyada Antigüeña, Tones or Mayan pizzas, Flan Antigüeña and Iguashte de vegetales.

These dishes not only offered a sample of Guatemala’s culinary richness, but also reflected the Foundation’s commitment to promoting local culture.

Living the value of solidarity

Beyond gastronomy, the participation of the Carlos F. Novella Foundation had a purpose embedded with solidarity.

By participating in the 2024 Food Fair, the Carlos F. Novella Foundation reaffirms its commitment not only to promoting Guatemalan culture, but also to causes that have a positive impact on children’s health and the communities’ wellbeing.

The funds raised at the event were to purchase microsurgery surgical instruments for the Spina Bifida Wing of the San Juan de Dios Hospital, benefiting children suffering from this condition.
