Cementos Progreso received awards in the categories of Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability as well as in the Leaders in Information Technology. It was thanks to José Serra’s leadership, that this was made possible during the regional Connecta B2B Awards event held on November 30.
In the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Sustainability and categories, Cementos Progreso won with the «S3 Floors» project, which consists of replacing dirt floors with concrete floors. The project aims to achieve Healthy, Sustainable, and Safe (S3) homes for families from the San Juan Sacatepéquez municipality.
This initiative is part of a project that will continue to be developed to positively impact the lives of 100,000 families in the region, and promote responsible and sustainable practices.

The second award received was in the «Leaders in Information Technology» category, for the executive work with more than 20 years of experience by Engineer José Serra. His work generates value through the organization’s technological solutions and digital transformation.

The Connecta B2B Awards brought together a select group of C-Levels entrepreneurs to honor the best of the year in the business world, in three important pillars of the Central American and the Dominican Republic economies (Corporate Technology, Business, and Construction), from the group’s information platforms: IT Now, Markets & Trends, and Construir.
The awards were presented to the companies and entrepreneurs thanks to the votes from the general public and a jury composed of ConnectaB2B editorial team and judges invited by each country.
