Engineering students visited the San Gabriel Plant facilities

Students from Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala’s (USAC) School of Engineering, who participated in Junior Achievement's "Yo Emprendo" program, visited the San Gabriel plant’s facilities of in San Juan Sacatepéquez, Guatemala.

The students were assisted by the «Amigos Progreso» program and understood the cement manufacturing process by experiencing it. They learned about the industrial safety procedures applied within the facilities, and about part of the regional environmental and social programs that the company has.

The «Yo Emprendo» program involves and enriches university students academically by exposing them to the business world, where they must organize, operate, and manage a small-scale enterprise.
