Progreso’s Environmental Strategic Management System (SEGA) was Verified and Certified

Progreso's Environmental Strategic Management System (SEGA) has been verified and certified by the Guatemalan Center for Cleaner Production (CGP+L), ensuring compliance with current national and international environmental standards.

The ways of conducting business in the world are evolving, and environmentally responsible companies are leading these new ways of creating economic and social value.

Progreso is Integrating the environmental variable into strategic planning under an Environmental Management System. This generates continuous improvement processes and validates compliance with current environmental standards found in national and international legislation.

For this reason, Progreso’s Environmental Management department requested the Guatemalan Chamber of Industry’s Guatemalan Center for Cleaner Production (CGP+L) to verify and certify the system.

The process began by comprehending technical criteria, followed by an internal audit to verify and certify the system’s scope. Once the audit was completed and all points were satisfied, the verification and certification seal were given.

Operations regarding the environment

An external institution validated the system’s activities.  They confirm that SEGA meets the conditions which ensure compliance with national environmental legislation. In addition, operations are shielded from any environmental risks by adhering and implementing the system.
