Recognizing Talent on the Roads: Progreso’s Gold, Silver, and Bronze Pilots

Discover Progreso's "Piloto de Oro" initiative, recognizing and rewarding pilots for their commitment to road safety. Get to know the awardees and how they contribute to safe transit on national and international roads.

Progreso prioritizes promoting good occupational health and road safety practices in the heavy transportation industry nationally and internationally. This commitment led to the creation of the «Piloto de Oro» initiative. Let us explain what it entails.

This initiative aims to promote best practices within Progreso’s «Transporte Inbound» department by conducting a competition for outstanding pilots in 2023. The competition unfolded in four phases, each focusing on technical aspects.

The first phase involved obtaining certification from the National Safety Council. The second phase included a test in the Cementos Progreso Simulator. The third phase consisted of a «360 inspection» of the transportation unit. Finally, the fourth phase featured a theoretical exam on heavy transportation operations focused on road safety.

Gold Award: Brayan Gomez from Transportes Verapaz
Silver Award: Basny Quintana from Transportes Mishelitas
Bronze Award: William del Cid from Transportes Giovani

All these steps contribute to strengthening road safety in the heavy transportation industry, preventing incidents, reducing the road accident rate, and promoting good practices.

Congratulations to the winners!

Safety is paramount

In the «Transporte Inbound» operation, a selection of 20 pilots from various transport companies, constituting a team of 400 drivers, were recognized for their diverse skills. They were honored with the «Piloto de Oro» recognition in the gold, silver, and bronze categories.

With these types of events, Progreso aims to contribute to safe road traffic, promoting education and road safety both nationally and internationally.
