Cementos Progreso and neighbors inaugurate four pavement projects in Cruz Blanca, San Juan Sacatepéquez

With excitement and joy, the inauguration of four pavement projects took place in Sector 1 of the village of Cruz Blanca in San Juan Sacatepéquez. The collaborative work between Cementos Progreso via Planta San Gabriel, authorities, and residents has led to the construction of over 700 linear meters of pavement in this community.

This project is a product of strengthening intercommunity relations and social cohesion through participatory and collaborative processes promoted by the Community Development Council (COCODE), residents, and Progreso.

The project benefits more than 850 families in the community, primarily children and older adults who now have dignified access to their homes and the main community facilities.

Through Planta San Gabriel, Cementos Progreso provided the cement and aggregates, while residents contributed their time, labor, and close collaboration to complete the project in three months (September to November 2023).
