Summa Magazine recognizes Progreso’s Human Talent

Progreso won third place in Summa Magazine's human talent ranking, competing against 30 companies that have the best human talent in Guatemala.

To enter the ranking in 2022, a survey was conducted over 45 days. One thousand businessmen, executives, and professionals from the region participated. They nominated companies in their country that they consider to be the main reference for having an outstanding team.

In addition to presenting the ranking, the magazine also published articles dedicated to these outstanding companies. The articles explained why these organizations were considered among the best human talent in Guatemala and the region.

For Progreso, people are its most important asset. In the last year, the company has dedicated 51,590 training hours to human development. Likewise, its values-based culture (COVEC and Leadership Agenda) contributes to making employees better workers, better citizens, and better leaders.

The magazine also mentions the Progresando Cycle, a Progreso tool that strengthens development plans and career paths. First, Progreso looks inward to occupy positions, enabling and promoting talent preparation to occupy positions within the career step.

The Employee Experience Model, which allows an employee to follow his or her life cycle in the organization, coupled with a culture of recognition, promotes a job well done and motivates people.

What Progreso does to care for its main asset, people, is also part of its Sustainability Strategy. As Guisella Ruiz, Talent Expertise Manager, says, to achieve our goals we need to have trained people on what the business requires and how to do it with Progreso DNA.

Other companies highlighted in the ranking are Cervecería Centroamericana, CMI, Banco Industrial, CBC, Bam, among others. You can read the full article in Revista Summa’s digital edition No. 345.

Héctor Ortiz, Organization and Human Development Manager tells Summa magazine that a distinguishing attribute identified in Progreso’s collaborators is their pride in belonging to the organization.
