As a result of our partnership with the municipality of Sanarate, we recently inaugurated the Ingeniero Plinio Alberto Herrera Chacón educational module in Sanarate, El Progreso, Guatemala. The project consists of a multipurpose room, six classrooms and restrooms distributed over two levels.

The project is the result of a partnership between the Municipality of Sanarate and Cementos Progreso. The result will benefit the students of the Ernesto Chavarría Rivadeneyra Institute, who will have better facilities.

This project includes high quality construction aspects, spaces that provide comfort to students and, above all, solves the most important needs of the establishment with six classrooms and a multipurpose room.

The educational module named Ingeniero Plinio Alberto Herrera Chacón, is part of the Ernesto Chavarría Rivadeneyra Institute, which stands out among the best secondary education centers in the department of El Progreso.

A total of Q2.8 million was invested in the construction of this new educational space, which will benefit 575 students directly and 2,875 people in the community indirectly.

Partnership with MINEDUC

The module’s inauguration included the Minister of Education Claudia Ruíz Casasola de Estrada, who expressed her satisfaction with the public-private partnership between Cementos Progreso and the municipality.

Through this visit, strategic alliances were achieved with the Ministry of Education –Mineduc-, and various projects were discussed, in addition to allocating resources for improvements.
