This basic floristry course is held at Montufar village, in San Juan Sacatepéquez. It is part of the Independent Courses program of the Carlos F. Novela Foundation, in collaboration with Gestión Social of Planta San Gabriel.
The main purpose of the activity is to strengthen skills and promote economic development within the Montufar Village, with the participation of 35 neighbors, including men and women.
The event will take place at the community’s indigenous mayor’s office. The course offers theoretical and practical knowledge, as well as the opportunity to promote local businesses.
Participants explore the fundamental techniques of floristry, from the proper selection of flowers to the creation of floral arrangements for different occasions.
This initiative not only contributes to participants’ personal development, but also to sustainable economic growth in the region.
The knowledge acquired will not only open doors to job opportunities, but will also inspire creativity and entrepreneurship in the community.
With the continued support of the Carlos F. Novella Foundation and the Social Management team of the San Gabriel Plant, the Montufar Village is moving forward on the path of creativity and entrepreneurship.
