Cementos Progreso Belize celebrated its first anniversary consolidating its quality and preference within the Central American nation’s market.
“Progreso” culture is authentically lived in the Belize plant, which recently celebrated one year of operations in our neighbor country.
During this period of time, our employees have received support and training in different fields that strengthen commercial and production processes.
With an installed capacity of 100,000 tons of cement per year, the Belize plant will work alongside neighboring communities, ensuring environmental conservation, health and safety, and world-class cement production.
The plant is located on a 10-hectare flat site. It has a monitoring program ensuring that particulate matter and sound pressure emissions are below the limits established by the World Health Organization.
These indicators exist on top of the successful training processes that employees have undergone, ranging from new laboratory techniques, to living values through the Values, Ethics and Conduct Code (COVEC).
Belize’s economy is mostly based on agriculture, trade, tourism, and construction. These indicators were the main drivers to reach this neighboring country’s market and generate opportunities and solutions for Belizean citizens.
As in all the places where Progreso is present, each effort made, integrate the gears aimed at building a more supportive and sustainable world.
