The San Gabriel Plant in San Juan Sacatepéquez recently celebrated a milestone in its commitment to workplace safety: the signing of the Vision Zero Accidents 2024 pledge.
This event, held on March 26, brought together various management teams and plant staff in a ceremony aimed at promoting accident prevention in the workplace.
The initiative, supported by the “Enrique Novella Alvarado” School, had a comprehensive approach involving the entire labor community. One of the highlights was the participation of the employees’ children, who presented phrases about prevention and handed them to their parents.
This gesture not only served as a reminder of the importance of workplace safety but also reinforced a sense of mutual responsibility among community members.
Around 250 employees directly benefited from this event affording participants significant advantages. Besides participating in a leading industry safety initiative, attendees received impactful prevention messages uniquely delivered by their children.
This experience served as a reminder of the importance of workplace safety and fostered a deeper personal commitment to accident prevention.
Additional benefits for employees included reinforcing the importance of looking out for one another and working together to ensure everyone returns home safely each day. This sense of community and commitment to the well-being of all employees and their families is fundamental to creating a safe and healthy work environment.
Vision Zero Accidents is a fundamental pillar in all Progreso operations, reflecting an active commitment to the safety and well-being of its employees.
By working towards this vision, Cementos Progreso San Gabriel Plant aims not only to prevent accidents but also to cultivate a culture of awareness and responsibility that drives operational success in all areas of its business.
