Progreso inaugurates Packaging and Dispatch Line 3 at the San Gabriel Plant, increasing its capacity from 7,200 to 10,800 bags per hour with state-of-the-art technology.

Progreso celebrates a new milestone with the opening of Packaging and Dispatch Line 3 at the San Gabriel Plant, a project that reinforces its leadership in the construction sector and its commitment to western Guatemala.

With this new line, packaging capacity has increased from 7,200 to 10,800 bags per hour, marking a 50% increase in efficiency.

This technological progress has been possible thanks to joint efforts between the engineering and projects areas, as well as the San Gabriel Plant Packaging and Dispatch team, who made this strategic vision a reality.

Among the innovations of Line comes from implementing the latest technology in cement packaging processes, which guarantees accurate weights, dispatch capacity and impeccable cleanliness of the bags.

State-of-the-art technology

This level of precision not only improves product quality, but also ensures an efficient service that responds to growing market demands in the western region, where the highest cement consumption in the country is found.

The impact of this new line goes beyond the numbers. With this project, Progreso not only strengthens its market competitiveness, but also ensures a constant supply in the country, which is positioned as one of the most dynamic economies in the region.

In addition, this expansion brings with it job creation and opportunities for nearby communities, boosting local economic development.

This achievement reflects the company’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and progress in the communities where it operates.

The construction of Line 3 required 2.5 years of continuous work, from financial justification to commissioning, and an investment of $4.2 million.
